Small Business Saturday is about celebrating the dedicated small businesses across the USA. We support these shops, stores, owners, and retailers on Small Business Saturday. Check out several of our favorite holiday gifts for dogs. Shopping season is stressful and we hope to help check some of the pup presents off of your list.
Chelsie was very devoted to her fur baby, Isles, so much so that she created her small business Boogs & Boop in 2022. She was determined to create fashion forward and budget friendly dog accessories. Her mission was to share her profound love of dogs with everyone. This small business is located in Brooklyn, NY where all of their products are designed. They are a woman-owned and operated company.
In this area, Boogs & Boop supports the wider dog community and pups in need. Chelsie's small business strives to make a tangible difference, contributing both financially and through volunteering to causes via Boops for Good that resonate with her unwavering love for dogs with every creation and purchase, .
When you purchase any of her harnesses, leashes, collars or matching pet parent accessories they give back to dogs and pets in need and supports a small business. Many of Chelsie's toys are very adorable, but this is our favorite!
In 2019, Chicago Dog Co. was founded by Marina and Mavis. Their mission was to create affordable and cute items. This Chicago small business is eco-friendly where handmade accessories are made with LOVE. Marina's prints change with seasons and holidays, so there is always something new for your pup.
Chicago Dog Co. handmade each of Farm to Pet's 100% Chicken Dog Bandanas. Marina (and her mom) work in her home with a sewing machine by putting a little extra love and care into each bandana. We can't wait to work with them again! Find her products locally and support two small businesses this holiday.
They have a unique selection of pet products from bandanas, bow ties, walking accessories to crate covers and beds. You can also shop for humans they have a nice selection of clothing and accessories. Your Small Business Saturday would be complete if you purchase a handmade dog gift.
Marisa and Donny started with a desire to help others live a healthy life. This company is based out of Basking Ridge, NJ. They believe in Respect, Self-Discipline, Accepting Responsibility, Being Authentic and to Live Intentionally. It is a place filled with motivation, education, encouragement, accountability and tough love. They focus on fitness and nutrition for you and your pets.
Not only do they focus on the health of humans around them, Route of Healthy Living also wants your dogs to be eating and snacking with the best by supporting our small business. We couldn't agree more with their view on single ingredient treats. “We want you to read the ingredient label of your furbaby’s treats. How many ingredients are on there? When looking for the tastiest and healthiest treat options for your companion, you want to look for treats that contain only ONE ingredient and for the ULTIMATE taste experience that one ingredient should be a high protein source.”
Marisa has a wonderful blog and website that assists you in starting a healthy journey. Whether you're looking for a better version of you, a change in your diet, or just to start moving your body, check out this dynamic duo.

You can view the novel process Katie uses in their highlights on Instagram. We were lucky to have her design and hand make each of our adult shirts and child tees for Farm to Pet.
Small businesses grow while building relationships with their customers and other small businesses in their community. When you choose to shop locally this holiday season, you are not just making a transaction; you are investing in a relationship. Owners, employees, and staff members feel a sense of community when you purchase from them. These small businesses are more likely to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, fostering a strong bond that goes beyond a simple buyer-seller relationship. Shopping at these establishments is not just a transaction; it's an investment in building a vibrant and connected community.
